- Extrusion system: Screw and barrel disassembly & cleaning every 3,000–5,000 hours; shorten to under 2,000 hours for impure recycled feedstock. Polish die every 4,000 continuous hours to prevent crystalline buildup and aperture deviation.
- Stretching system: Replace jig liners every 6,000 hours; balance guide rollers every 2,000 hours (1,500 hours for high-abrasion fiberglass geogrids).
- Hydraulics: Change oil every 4,000 hours, clean filters every 1,000 hours.
- Lubrication: Refill gearbox and bearing grease every 3,000 hours; regrease high-speed bearings every 2,500 hours.
- Electric parts: Calibrate thermocouples and heating rings every 1,500 hours; tighten terminals semi-annually.
Annual overhaul is a full yearly inspection regardless of runtime, designed to detect hidden faults and recalibrate core parameters. Tasks include full line disassembly, replacement of overworn parts, stretching ratio calibration (critical for aperture and tensile strength), electrical insulation testing, renewal of aged hydraulic seals and safety interlock verification to guarantee next-year operational stability.
Key factors altering cycles:
1. Operating load: Halve intervals for round-the-clock production; standard cycles apply to 8-hour daytime shifts.
2. Raw materials: Longer cycles for virgin resin; shorter cycles for high-wear fiberglass or steel-plastic composites.
