In China, the testing standard for plastic geogrids produced by geogrid production line equipment is GB/T 17689-2008 "Geosynthetic Materials - Plastic geogrids". GB/T 17689-2008 applies to plastic geogrid products mainly used for soil reinforcement or reinforcement materials in engineering construction. It is mainly divided into two types: unidirectional tensile plastic geogrids and bidirectional tensile plastic geogrids. Plastic geogrids are usually geogrid products made from high-density polyethylene or polypropylene as the main raw material. It is worth mentioning that GB/T 17689-2008 is not applicable to the testing of plastic reinforced strip welded geogrids, chemical fiber geogrids, and glass fiber geogrids.

What are the functions of geogrids produced by geogrid production line equipment

Geogrids have achieved good results in roadbed reinforcement engineering due to their high strength, low creep, and strong adaptability. However, research on optimizing the parameters of geogrid reinforcement for soft soil roadbed still needs further improvement. Based on this, taking a soft soil roadbed widening project as an example, a finite element analysis model for widening the roadbed was established. A comparative analysis was conducted on the influence of different layers of geogrid laying on the deformation, stress, and stability of the new and old roadbed, and a more reasonable number of geogrid laying layers was finally determined.

The purpose is to improve the shear and friction resistance of foundation materials, reduce or delay the ability of foundation materials to move under load pressure or vibration. Therefore, there are inevitably many strict limitations on the requirements for materials in engineering. By using geogrids, materials can be obtained locally or nearby, and even materials that cannot be used under normal circumstances can be used, greatly reducing material procurement and transportation costs.
