During the CHINAPLAS 2023 exhibition, multiple exciting events were held with the theme of "green, low-carbon, and sustainable development". Among them, the most noteworthy one was the large-scale creative technology and art installation - "Sustainable Resonance Body", which was launched globally on the first day of the exhibition.

The 'Sustainable Resonance Body' is a large-scale mass creation technology art installation that integrates sustainable materials, 3D printing processes, technology, and art. The initiator collected more than 1500 "sustainable voices" from people from all walks of life around the world to think about the green future. After parameterization, the sound was printed in 3D using sustainable materials into pieces of "sound units", and by piecing together more than 1500 pieces of "sound units", it gathered into the final artistic installation. Behind each unique 'sound unit' comes an NFC chip. Once the NFC function of the phone is turned on, you can hear the exclusive 'sustainable sound' of each 'sound unit'.

Initiation - "Sustainable Resonance Body" Launch and Completion

At 10 a.m. on April 17, 2023, the global launch ceremony of "Sustainable Resonance" was held at booth P21 in Hall 20 of Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. This year is the second time CHINAPLAS has been held at the Shenzhen International Convention and Exhibition Center. The exhibition scale has reached a new high, with a total area of 380000 square meters and over 3900 domestic and foreign exhibitors. Among them, there are more than 1400 raw material exhibitors, 3000 mechanical equipment on display, and more than 240 global and Asian technologies have appeared at the exhibition. The sustainable materials used for the production of the 'sound unit' this time come from——

NatureWorks' Functional Biomaterial Ingeo ™ PLA and Ingeo are not only 100% bio based, but also materials that can be decomposed through composting or mechanically and chemically recovered under appropriate conditions after use;

Jinhu Rili's Sculpture ® The material is made of PET and PETG alloy recycled from the ocean as the substrate, which not only uses recycled materials but also includes spray free technology, integrating environmental protection from the material to the process;

BASF's Ultrafuse ® RPET material, recycled from medical equipment, is an important alternative to raw material wire, and its appearance and performance are as excellent as those printed on ordinary PET wire;

Wanhua Chemical's bio based TPU materials use bio based isocyanates made from corn or corn straw, bio based polyols are synthesized, and even additives such as rice bran wax come from renewable resources such as non food chain corn and sesame.

Visitors can enjoy different exhibits made of the aforementioned materials in the sustainable technology exhibition area next to the art installation, and explore the application of sustainable materials in different industries.

At the exhibition site of "Sustainable Resonance Body", there is also a 3D printing demonstration area to showcase the 3D printing molding processes of different environmentally friendly materials for the audience, as well as exquisite 3D printing souvenirs as gifts.
